My Project:
Here is what i came up with. I altered a paper mache box, that i will be sending to a friend for a swap...hehe! I knew i wanted to do shabby chic and Paris, cause I've always wanted to go. I started by painting the box light shabby blue that i mixed up myself, using grey, white, black, sage green and blue acrylic paint. On the lid i covered it with 6" lace. I made the flower arrangement with iamroses that are painted with lindy's, recollections leaves, and light blue acrylic wheat sprays. I added two sheets of prima designer paper behind the Eiffel tower (which was perfect). Added some prima pearls and a Journey sentiment to finish it off. Read below to see what i did to the box portion and sides of the lid!!!!Paris Box:
Side of Lid and Box:
I took some K&Co designer paper and covered the sides of the box. I then mod podge the entire box to give it a nice glossy finished look. I added a gorgeous ruffled white lace to the edge of the lid and on top of that added blue beaded dangle trim and sage green velvet scroll trim. i added old willow ruffled satin trim to the bottom and on top of that some beaded trim and light blue flat back pearls. On the bottom i added four wooden balls for feet to lift the box up so i could add the ruffled trim.
Hope you like it as much as i do!!!!
