I made a card this month. I used the recent sketch from this months sketch challenge. I used Pink Paislee London Market paper which i absolutely love. I used 3 different gorgeous trims from the store. I also used my lacey circle Spellbinder die and layered a chipboard piece from Prima on top of that. I used a old Anna Griffin stamp to stamp the Thank You. The gorgeous flower is from Petaloo.

Teach Me Tuesday- Satin Flower Hair Clips

Hello Again! I am here with another "Teach Me Tuesday" Tutorial for MB's Treasurista.

I am so super glad you could join me for this weeks TMT tutorial! I will be honest... this weeks was super difficult for me to come up with! There have been so many amazing tutorials done so far from the other fantastic DT members that I had absolutely no idea what to make! HA! So, picture this, I have literally all my MBT goodies on my table in front of me and I am taking them out of their packaging one by one just staring at them thinking "what can I make with you?!?" It took me like 45 minutes to come up with a fresh idea! I do hope you enjoy! :)

I made an embellishment that you could use on paper or in your hair. Versatile, right?!? I KNOW! I really think they turned out super cute.

The supplies you will need are:
Satin flower w/ pearl center (MBT)
Round pearl/bead spray (MBT)
Feathers
Tulle
Alligator clips (if making hair clips)
Hot Glue
Scrap paper of any color

Please watch the video below to see a step by step process of how they were made! Be sure to check out MB's Treasurista for the yummy satin flowers as well as many other fabulous items!

XoXo,

Katie

MB's Treasurista Mother's Day Blog Hop

Welcome to the MB's Treasurista Blog Hop

Good Morning!  It’s time for another MBT Bloghop..Yay!  We're getting a head start on the month of May with the theme Mother's Day. Each of the MBT designers has created a project to jump start that Mother's Day creative mojo in you. Please check out all the blogs and keep hopping, as there is a hidden grand prize giveaway and hidden blog candy throughout the designers blogs as well. I hope the MBT Designers inspire you as much as they do me! ;)

So here is some Mother's day inspiration that i created. I made this card as part of a Mother's Day Card swap over at Creating the Crafty Life, and i just love the way it turned out. I started out with some Kraft card stock as the base then i used some designer paper from K & Co for the mat. I place some white ruffled lace on the side that i had in my stash. To jazz up the lace i used the MBT White Daisy Pearl Trim down the center and a MBT 1" Lt. Pink Organza Butterfly for accent. i used the same butterfly to accent the bottom of the sentiment. I got the sentiment from a mini Inkadinkado stamp set, which may i say that mother's day stamps are hard to find. Anyway...hehe! I cut out the sentiment with one of my fav MFT dies, Polka Dot and popped it up with some foam pop dots. I distressed everything with distress walnut ink and to finish it off i added three half pearls in the upper right corner. I hope you found this card a bit inspirational and that you and your mother have a wonder Mother's Day!!! :) The recipe for this card is below :)

Recipe for this card:

Kraft card stock
K&Co Design paper
Lace and pearls from my stash
Recollections Pop dots

Teach Me Tuesday- Satin Ruffle Trim Embellishment

Welcome everyone to the MB's Treasurista Teach Me Tuesday! This Tuesday, I'll be showing you how to create a Satin Ruffle Trim embellishment. Super easy and quick to create with only a few supplies.

Here's what you'll need:
1. 2 x 12'' pieces of ruffled satin trim.
2. 1 piece of 12'' x 1/2'' piece of chipboard.
3. 12'' of decorative trim.

Here's how to make it:

1. With your glue gun, glue down your satin ruffled trim to one side of your chipboard. I chose to make my pieces 12 inches long but you don't have to. If you wanted to use this for a card, just cut it all shorter.

2. With your glue gun again, take your second piece of satin ruffled trim and glue it right beside your first piece of trim. Your pieces of trim should be butted up as close together as you can. You don't want any large visible gaps.

3. Trim your edges. Then take your lighter and lightly melt your edges. This will secure your fabric and will keep your fabric edges from fraying.

4. Next, take your decorative trim and glue it down onto your seam. Do not add too much glue. You'll want it to be secure but not have glue seeping out of the edges.

Voila! you're done! Try this technique with laces and other trims for a completely different look!

Also, here are the links of the items I used to create these beautiful embellishments:
Ivory Satin Trim 7/8''
Black Ruffle Satin Trim
Flower Trim with Rhinestone Center in Lt. Pink
Mini Pearl Flower Trim in Lavender

Thanks for stopping by! Have fun and try this for yourself!
