MBT Memorial Day Sale!!!

Spring Altered Cigar Box

Hey everyone, its been awhile since i've posted my projects and i just couldn't let this one go without sharing. I host a Cigar Box Swap every month over at Creating the Crafty Life and this was the very first one we did back in April. This was my first Cigar box and i had a blast. My partner was Adelle and she made me a gorgeous one that i will share on youtube. 

I did use several of my fav MBT goodies, such as the acrylic butterflies, acrylic flowers, wheat sprays, rustic wire, snowy ornate lace, pink rose w/ pearl trim and the new pink calla lilies. All the flowers are iamroses colored with various starburst sprays and glimmer mist. I colored a super cute image with copic markers and framed it using a $1 michaels frame, that i painted with gesso and distressed it with peeled paint distress ink. Well enough of what i used...hehe Here is the end result....hope you like it as much as i do!!!

MBT's Teach Me Tuesday!

Well hello there! I am so glad you decided to join me for another Teach Me Tuesday brought to you by MB's Treasurista and Katie

This weeks TMT seriously couldn't be easier. This month the DT received some gorgeous satin and organza pleated trim in three different colors. The first being ivory, then brown and finally pale yellow. Check them out HERE! I knew that I adored the look of these trims but wasn't entirely sure I would use them because of the colors. I typically do not use white, ivories or pale colors. So here I sit thinking about what I can do with these... and VIOLA! I picked up from Tim Holtz Distress Ink and one of my applicators and I color away! Blues, greens, oranges, bright yellows, reds and pinks.... the possibilities are ENDLESS! You can literally (without any fancy schmancy glimmer mists or starburst sprays, but only because I do not own many at all) color up your trims. Here is a picture of the trim before the added color:

And after- look how nicely those colors were accepted and how vibrant they look! Wowza!

MB's Treasurista Spring In Bloom Creative Challenge

Hey everyone and welcome to the MBT Spring In Bloom Challenge!! With all the flowers blooming in the Month of May, I've decided that the challenge is to use flowers! Easy right, well of course since its spring and who doesn't love flowers. I hope all the joys of spring, and my wonderful designers bring you tons of inspiration.
