Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend! Marilyn Monroe Gumball Machine
Hello my Crafty Bombshells!
I am super duper excited to share with you my latest MB Treasurista DT creation. This is by far my most favoritest (if thats a word..lol) bestest project ever! So before we jump right in, I wanted to let you all know that we are moving and I finally get to have a WHOLE craft room to myself. Right now I just have a craft area, so I'm moving up in the world :). So I thought long hard about how I wanted to decorate it. Then my "AHA" moment. Old Hollywood! So this project is the first project to bless my craft room. I love Marilyn Monroe and Sophia Loren, so I wanted to pay homage to them. I altered a gumball machine, (I showed you a sneak peek of my project in my Decoupage tutorial post) and its a tribute to Marilyn Monroe. Like most of my projects this has a story behind it..lol.. What I created was a gumball machine meant to showcase jewelry instead of gumballs and it sits on a vanity with the rest of her jewelry.
Story:
Marilyn Monroe being the bombshell she is wanted her gumball machine to be just as glamorous as she is, so she used it to house her diamonds and pearls. One day as she sits at her vanity browsing thorough a filmstrip of photos from her latest photoshoot, she gets a call from her agent that she has a last minute casting call and the producers want her to do a read through for an upcoming film. So he tells her to grab her favorite pair of diamond earrings and hurry down there. As she scrambles through her jewelry vase she spills some of her diamonds and pearls all over her vanity. She takes off the pearl bracelet she's wearing and tosses it on top of the gumball machine and hurry's off to her casting. And this is how she left it.
Check out more photos from this project. Don't forget to watch my YouTube Video for a more detailed description of this project.

Just Amazing! Next, we have a wonderful mini album from Pernilla Svalborg using G45's Little Darling's Collection. Love the colors!
Hi all Pernilla here!
I'm here to present a baby album I made for a birthday gift. But I'm not allowed to show you the photos, so please bare with me. I wish to show all the wonderful embellishments I made with products from MB's treasurista.
The cover is made with lightweight chipboard and design paper from Graphic 45 little darlings. Misty carries all Graphic 45 papers, should you not find the collection your looking for, don't be afraid asking her for a custom order - if it's on the market, she will get it for you ;) You will also come across MME The sweetest thing bluebell layered stickers here and there in the album
Underneath the spine I put some eyelet lace that I colored with Lindy's stamp gang, whale watch blue. MB's Treasurista will start carrying Lindy stamp gang soon, so keep checking in:) I also used Nantucket pearls whale blue to color the paper flowers and satin ribbon with.
The small white cherub was painted with gesso and then colored in acrylic paint speckled egg by Jenni Bowlin, to give it a bit of shabby look I rubbed it lightly again with gesso. The cluster on the cover is a wild mix of pearl bead sprays, paper flowers, acrylic flowers, a hibiscus cameo and wheat leaves spray all in blue.
