Hello MBT Fans,
It's Tuesday and you know what that means here at MB's Treasurista, that's right! A fun Teach Me Tuesday Tutorial. We've got a clever and fun way to add more depth to your stenciling by Deb Edwards.
Check out below for a full start to finish tutorial from Deb!
Ok to start off you will need your fav stencils. I use ones made by the Crafter's Workshop from MB's Treausrista. You will also need any type of modeling paste and mica powders and sprays.
First we are going to tint the modeling paste with about a 1:2 ratio of powder to paste.
Make sure to mix thoroughly so that the powder dissolves completely. Then get ready to stencil. Make sure to apply evenly.
Once you are done you are left with a great background with a pop of color.
Now we are going to do the same thing but mix with a few spritz of The starburst spray. Be careful not to add too much or you will water down the paste. This is perfect for a nice pastel color. For a brighter more vibrant color mix directly with the starburst powder prior to adding water to the bottle. Or start with a darker color.
You will get this great look and can even combine sprays and mix to create streaks to get a cool effect!
I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy tutorial on coloring paste!!! All supplies can be found at MB's Treasurista!!!
