Welcome to the MB's Treasurista Blog Hop

Good Morning!  It’s time for another MBT Bloghop..Yay!  We're getting a head start on the month of May with the theme Mother's Day. Each of the MBT designers has created a project to jump start that Mother's Day creative mojo in you. Please check out all the blogs and keep hopping, as there is a hidden grand prize giveaway and hidden blog candy throughout the designers blogs as well. So here is some Mother's day inspiration that i created. I made this card as part of a Mother's Day Card swap over at Creating the Crafty Life, and i just love the way it turned out. I started out with some Kraft card stock as the base then i used some designer paper from K & Co for the mat. I place some white ruffled lace on the side that i had in my stash. To jazz up the lace i used the MBT White Daisy Pearl Trim down the center and a MBT 1" Lt. Pink Organza Butterfly for accent. i used the same butterfly to accent the bottom of the sentiment. I got the sentiment from a mini Inkadinkado stamp set, which may i say that mother's day stamps are hard to find. Anyway...hehe! I cut out the sentiment with one of my fav MFT dies, Polka Dot and popped it up with some foam pop dots. I distressed everything with distress walnut ink and to finish it off i added three half pearls in the upper right corner. I have been in the card making mood for about two months now. So i went with a card and had so much fun!!! We had to make a project using black/white and a splash of color. For the color i kinda did a lighter color but i just love this pattern paper. So when i saw it i knew that's what i was gonna use. The list of awesome products i used can be found below the picture. Valentine Card Blog Hop For Kids With Cancer

Welcome to my blog and the Valentine Card Blog Hop For Kids With Cancer!

I created this card using all my halloween scraps from this years halloween projects. I started with black cardstock and layered different papers from last year's Ravenhead Manor paper collection by Recollections. I used some recollections pearls and iamroses rose buds. I finished the card off with some black satin ruffle trim that will be coming to my shop MB's Treasurista next month, so look out for that.

Spiderweb Card for "Halloween Card Swap" @ CCL

 Ok so i'm back with the second set of cards for the halloween card swap @ Creating the Crafty Life!!! I just love this card. Mostly cause i love flowers, halloween and those acrylic wheat sprays...like OMG! So i started with black card stock then my favorite pattern from last years Ravenhead Manor Collection by Recollections. I used a "Happy Halloween" stampabillities wooden stamp for the sentiment. I used a martha stewart spider web edge punch to make the diecut under the sentiment and on the edge of the pennant. 

I love the colors and the way this came out!!! The large flower is from last year and is recollections. The mini roses are prima and recollections and the leaves are iamroses. The wheat sprays which i'm so in love with are from my shop (MB's Treasurista)!!!

I went pretty simple on the inside, layering orange and cray paper from the same collection then some black and cream cardstock. I stamped a cute little spider for a finishing touch.

Spooky Night Card for "Halloween Card Swap" @ CCL

Hey everyone!!! I'm excited to share with you my first halloween card for 2011 (really ever) for the halloween card swap over at CCL (Creating the Crafty Life). This is what i came up with for the first set of 2. I started with some kraft cardstock, and layered using black cardstock and design paper form the new DCWV halloween & fall paper stack. I used an ek success punch for the bats and a martha stewart  edge punch for the decorative strip. I have a video below if you would like to see the card from start to finish.

Little Cindy Card

Entry #2

I made this card for Cynthia♥.

What i used:
Started with a 6"x12" piece of white cardstock, scored in half and some 6"x6" design paper and 5"x5" chocolate brown card stock. I painted the two flowers (I Am Roses petals) using Lindy stamp Gang mica powders in the colors Oak Leaf Olive and Opellacent peach Gold. Added a flat back pearl for the centers of the flowers. The boarder was punched with Martha Stewart punch around the page punches. I painted the decorative boarder using a mica powder in the color Boomtown Golden Bronze.The edges were distressed with the frayed burlap distress ink. I also Colored a stamped Greeting Farm image "Cheeky Beauty" with Copic markers on Gina K card stock. Then diecut and embossed the colored image using my Cuttlebug and a Spellbinders Nestabillities "Deckled Rectangles" die, then feathered around the image with vintage photo distress ink and adheared with pop dots. I also adheared everything with my ATG gun and the flowers with Glossy Accents.
